Six years ago today, Anna Joyace came home to us forever. We chose her name to honor the memory of the most important woman in my life and my best friend - my mom Joyace Ann, who we lost 8 years ago to ovarian cancer. My dad and I made the trip to Guatemala together while John and the boys stayed at home patiently (or not!) waiting. Anna was 2 days old when we accepted her referral and at the age of 5 months and 3 weeks, she was placed in my arms forever. It was a moment I will never forget. Here's a look back in pictures.
